is this outfit stylish or stupid?

*intempo* asked:

Hi, do you think this is a cute stylish outfit for my first day back at college? I usually just wear jeans and a tee shirt, but cause its my final year I wanna look smart and trendy.
Be honest cause its the first time ive tried something like this! :)

girl to be honest i don’t like anything about it. the jeans/tshirt look is cute and casual.

We have a couple girls who walk around like that. I mean, if it’s cold then I wouldn’t recommend it, but if you like it, then wear it.

it might be cute to go out at night in or something, but i def. wouldn’t wear that to college. it’s just too done up for the day.

Okay, Im going to be honest that’s more for like an old lady
Not A young girl like if your in your teen’s or early twenty’s !

    Try something else !

Im not a big fan of that outfit, but then again I can’t say I’m the most fashion-forward person! Haha.

The only problem I forsee is that it’s not something you’re used to and comfortable in. If you try it on and feel comfortable and confident in it, then go for it! But if you are going to feel self conscious in it, then try something else. Like maybe pair the fancier shirt with jeans and forgo the skirt. Or try some black pants with a dressier shirt and some cute flats. Whatever you do make sure you feel confident in your clothes :-)

I think it is a outfit to wear if you were going out to dinner. I wouldn’t wear it as a college outfit, it might look out of place.
I would stick with the jeans and t-shirts.
I don’t really think the outfit is trendy.

Ew, what are you trying to look like, a 4-year-old girl? In my opinion, no, that’s hideous.

Oogly! It looks like it’s laundry day and you had nothing else to wear. Sorry.

oh you can try others like skirts and blouses but the skirt must not be to long thats what i think….:)

I don’t like the top but I like the bottom half and it doesn’t look right for college :/

    I don’t like it.

    It’s kinda weird…..

it is a nice outfit, but i can’t help but wonder if it might not be a bit formal for college – even the first day of your final year.
maybe rethink the stockings. also, i think that you might want to swap the shoes with the silver for something simpler – plain black or red pumps or ballet flats. and definitely loose the silver belt – maybe go with something like a draped wide leather belt, or go without a belt.
as i said, it is a nice outfit – the silver and the stockings just make it too formal for college.

Dont really like it no offence. I say you should go for a plain buttoned down white shirt (leave the top button undone, sexier) and just long black trousers, the formal suit kinds, they make your legs look longer. And add dolly shoes etc. to them

    Hope that helps

if you really like it then ignore what people say.
however, i think for your final year you should just go casual like the other years. no one’s going to have enough time to think “wow, doesn’t she look smart?” or anything anyways cause they’ll be too busy with more important things. plus, they might actually think you’re a freshman or something since they tend to be the ones that dress up.

anyways, it’s up to you. have fun, and enjoy your last year of college. (:

i dont think it would look good for college. but you know what keep experimenting. cuz you might find a look thats not jeans and a tshirt that suits you better, :D

i like the skirt a lot! but i agree with everyone else that its not really right for just going to class. it’s more of an outfit to go out to the club in or something. but the skirt is really cute!

it’s cute! the colours and shapes work really well together. that said, wearing such shiny fabrics during the day is a massive no no, you’ll look really overdressed, but its fab for a party.

….and i’d suggest absolutely no jewellery apart from maybe some small stud earrings so the look you’re capturing is cute and vintagey.
