What does “Dress For Success” really mean?

Volcom asked:

My friend and I were talking the other day and somehow we got into the discussion of clothes. He said that he spends alot on his clothes; $150 for a pair of shoes, $70 for a shirt, $200 for jeans, etc.

I told him that is ridiculous, as there are many stylish clothing stores that are alot cheaper than this, such as Pac Sun, Forever 21, and other designer brands. He basically said, “Dude, dress for success”.

So, my question is, what is the point when you are spending too much to “dress for success”?

Which diaper bag? I want stylish, durable, and practical?

lwright311 asked:

I am due in August with my third child. I have a 3 yo and a 6yo. I have been serching for diaper bags. I want a bag thats kinda different. I want it to be stylish (not sporty or quilted but trendy) and very durable. I am willing to pay a little more for a long lasting bag. I want one bag for me and the kids. I have a fairly expensive backpack diaper bag now and **** it. Too many pockets and hard to get stuff out of large compartment.

The stores around here dont have a lot to choose from. There are two on the internet that I really like. Its just hard to really see what you are getting. I like the looks of this one but worry about durability and the short straps.

I also really like this one but wonder if its worth the price and big enough.

Stylish winter footwear for university guys?

REDSOX847 asked:

I’m a 19 year old guy from Ottawa, Canada. I’m looking for shoe’s/boots for the winter that will keep my feet warm but are still stylish. none of those gigantic kamik boots that look like they’re used in the wilderness. i need something that will keep my feet warm/dry and actually look good because our winters are hell. Ladies seem to have the best choice but none for guys. None of those Timberlands because I’m not hip-hop

my style usually goes from slightly preppy, American Eagle/Abercrombie, and slightly skater type. is there anything trendy or should i just go with high-top skater shoes like these (hoping they’re warm enough)? http://www.boathousestores.com/storefront/product/tabid/60/p-1100-omahigh-sm.aspx?CategoryFilterID=18&pgsize=108

suggestions please =)

What should I wear in Spain?

nick B asked:

So I am going to spain for about 2 weeks starting the 20th. I know I will be traveling around most of the time with people who are wearing blue and orange bags and couldn’t look more like tourists, but I would still like to look more European, It is summer so nothing with layers or anything, I like tightish clothing, I am thinking i will wear various v-necks, and shorts, with some stylish but casual shoes. is this ok or will i look really weird… any suggestions on other things to wear?

Way to make this a little more stylish?

Dorkkk. :) asked:

For a choir thing we have to wear..
A black knee length or longer skirt.
A white long sleeve collared dress shirt
Black tights.
Black dress shoes.
No jewelry/accesories.

Polyvore it for me, how would I make this more stylish than dull and boring?

Thanks (:

Outfit suggestions anyone?! I want to look casual but ****?

Serena asked:

I am going to look round a college/university at the weekend but don’t want to ruin first impressions with future teachers and course mates. It’s just, i’m applying for an engineering course which is very very male dominated, i’ll be lucky if there are even a handful of females applying alongside me. It’s just, last time i went to look round i dressed smart but stylish and someone told me i was too feminine and that i didnt really fit the ’stereotypical view’ of females in the industry. My style is casual but sophistiated, i’m not skinny but i’m slim and average height and build… i mean, i love casual dresses and jeans and have mid-length dark hair so stick to plain colours. I mean, it’s just a really casual day, just a chance to look round and find out about the place! I was thinking maybe skinny jeans and heeled boots, it’s risky, will people think im showing off or playing at being girly?!

Where can I buy cute vegan heels?

k.murch asked:

I am desperately looking for quality vegan heels, wedges, pumps that are cute and ****. I need them for casual attire and for work. I am tired of cheap shoes that wears out quickly and hurts my feet. I am also tired of the ugly vegan shoes that are available nowadays. I need CUTE or **** shoes!

Looking for reasonably priced shoes as well. Expensive shoes are okay because I can try e-baying them but would like to be able to have good shoes in my closet that are vegan and stylish.
